Dr. Johanna Stephenson
Dr. Stephenson, a native Texan, left this great state to follow an athletic scholarship in tennis at Northern Illinois University where she had extensive study for two Bachelor’s degrees, a Masters degree. She then went on to obtain her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago.
She returned to her home state to set up her own clinic to help others as she had been helped. “I have a true passion for what chiropractic care can do for the entire person, not just a symptom”. A passion that was earned after having struggled with a compromised immune system and early degenerative knees that have both been significantly improved since incorporating chiropractic into her life.
In addition to receiving post-graduate training and experience in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, nutrition, and acupuncture, she regularly attends post-graduate courses to keep abreast of the latest information in the health care field. Dr. Stephenson emphasizes patient education in the overall treatment process. She believes that active patient participation allows for a quicker and more complete recovery.
Dr. Stephenson is a competitive tennis player and enjoys swimming, cycling, golf, backpacking, climbing, and just about anything else that gets her outside. She is available to lecture on a wide range of health-related topics.
